Furniture Designer

We are now looking for a Furniture Designer to join our team and contribute to the creation of aesthetically pleasing and functional furniture that aligns with our eco-friendly and innovative ethos.
Job Overview:
As a Furniture Designer, you will be responsible for designing furniture pieces for homes and offices. You will collaborate with our product development, engineering, and marketing teams to create stylish, durable, and sustainable furniture. Your role will involve the full design process from concept through to production, ensuring that all designs meet quality, aesthetic, and functional standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop creative and functional furniture designs for both home and office use, focusing on aesthetics, practicality, and sustainability.
- Produce sketches, detailed drawings, and 3D models of furniture designs using CAD software.
- Collaborate with product development and engineering teams to ensure designs are feasible and cost-effective for production.
- Select appropriate materials and finishes to meet design specifications, considering sustainability and durability.
- Create prototypes and work closely with manufacturers to ensure designs are produced to high standards.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest furniture design trends, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Work within project timelines and budgets, ensuring that all designs meet company standards and client requirements.
- Present design concepts to management and stakeholders for review and approval.
- Incorporate customer feedback into final designs to create user-friendly, comfortable, and visually appealing furniture.
- Bachelor’s degree in Furniture Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in furniture design, preferably with a focus on sustainable materials and practices.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Auto CAD, Solid Works, Rhino) and 3D modeling tools.
- Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and product development in furniture design.
- Ability to create detailed technical drawings and specifications for production.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A portfolio showcasing previous furniture design projects.
- Passion for eco-friendly design and sustainable development.
- Knowledge of interior design principles.
- Familiarity with metal, wood, and composite materials used in furniture production.
- Experience working with manufacturers and understanding of production processes.
