Financial Controller Plant

We are Hiring for Financial Controller Plant for Kala Amb (Himachal Pradesh) Location
PREAMBLE: The Financial Controller - Plant will be an integral part of our Finance & Accounts team, based in Kala Amb, HP. The ideal candidate will hold qualifications such as ICWA, CA, or MBA (Finance) and possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. This role is pivotal in aligning plant budget and business planning activities with corporate policies. The incumbent will manage all accounting operations, prepare financial statements, analyze variances, and provide financial direction to enhance site performance. The candidate must demonstrate strong analytical skills, proficiency in MS Office and ERP, and have in-depth knowledge of Indian Taxation and government regulations. Effective communication, ethical integrity, and the ability to work collaboratively across various organizational levels are essential for success in this role.
Key Result Areas (KRA) 1. Financial Planning and Coordination o Planning and coordinating plant budget and business planning activities. o Providing financial direction and recommendations to improve site performance.
2. Accounting Operations Management o Managing all accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable (A/R), accounts payable (A/P), general ledger (G/L), inventory/cost accounting, and revenue recognition. o Ensuring month-end closing processes and preparation of monthly financial statements and other operational reports.
3. Financial Analysis and Reporting o Analyzing variances and communicating explanations to management with recommended actions. o Preparing forecasts for income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
4. Cross-functional Collaboration o Working across organizational boundaries and levels to achieve plant and corporate objectives. o Collaborating with the General Manager, plant accountants, and senior management to explain results, manage projects, and lead complex analyses.
5. Internal Controls and Compliance o Monitoring and implementing internal controls to ensure reporting integrity and safeguard company assets. o Ensuring proper accounting in accordance with accepted accounting principles and local statutory requirements.
Key Performance Indicators (KPI) 1. Accuracy and Timeliness of Financial Reports o Timely completion of month-end closing and preparation of accurate financial statements. o Number of errors identified in financial reports.
2. Budget Adherence and Variance Analysis o Percentage variance between actual and budgeted financial performance. o Frequency and quality of variance analysis reports provided to management.
3. Forecasting Accuracy o Accuracy of income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow forecasts. o Deviation between forecasted and actual financial results.
4. Internal Control Effectiveness o Number of internal control breaches or audit findings. o Implementation rate of internal control improvements.
5. Cost Management o Accuracy of product cost estimations. o Cost savings achieved through identified efficiencies and process improvements.
6. Collaboration and Communication o Feedback from cross-functional teams on the effectiveness of financial collaboration and support. o Timeliness and clarity of financial communications to departmental leaders and stakeholders.
7. Compliance and Regulatory Adherence o Compliance with local statutory requirements and accepted accounting principles. o Number of compliance-related issues or penalties.
