The Field Officer will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process, ensuring timely acquisition of materials, and conducting quality checks at suppliers’ locations. This role involves vendor coordination, inspection of materials for compliance with quality standards, and ensuring that procurement operations align with the company's needs. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong negotiation skills, and experience in procurement or supply chain management. Key Responsibilities Material Procurement:
Identify and engage with vendors to source materials as per project requirements.
Conduct market research to identify cost-effective suppliers without compromising quality.
Assist in the negotiation of pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
Quality Assurance:
Perform on-site quality inspections of materials and goods at vendor locations before procurement.
Ensure that all purchased materials meet the company’s specifications and quality standards.
Identify non-conforming materials and communicate corrective actions to suppliers.
Vendor Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable material supply.
Monitor vendor performance in terms of quality, pricing, and timely delivery.
Provide feedback to suppliers on areas for improvement to ensure quality consistency.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, inspection reports, and quality checklists.
Prepare and submit timely reports on procurement status, material quality, and vendor performance to the management team.
Compliance & Standards:
Ensure that all materials and procurement processes comply with company policies, legal requirements, and environmental standards.
Stay updated on industry regulations related to material quality and procurement processes.
Cost Management:
Monitor and control procurement costs while maintaining the required quality standards.
Provide cost-saving suggestions without compromising the quality of materials.
Logistics Coordination:
Oversee and coordinate the transportation and delivery of materials from suppliers to project sites or warehouses.
Ensure that delivery timelines are met and resolve any logistics-related issues.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree must.
Experience of field job/ Freshers can also apply
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Strong attention to detail for quality inspections.
