F&B Cost Controller

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management:
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of food and beverage items.
  • Conduct regular stock audits to ensure accurate stock counts.
  • Manage inventory purchasing processes to avoid overstocking or shortages.
  • Cost Control:
  • Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly food and beverage costs.
  • Implement and maintain cost control systems to monitor waste and reduce expenses.
  • Work with kitchen and service teams to identify areas where costs can be reduced without compromising quality.
  • Supplier and Purchase Management:
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Monitor the market for price trends, negotiate better deals, and ensure timely procurement of goods.
  • Review and approve purchase orders, invoices, and payment requests.
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare detailed cost reports for food and beverages to assist management in pricing strategies.
  • Review and analyze profitability on menu items.
  • Work closely with the finance team to provide accurate data for budgeting and forecasting.
  • Compliance and Quality Control:
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations regarding food and beverage storage.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen and service teams to ensure that inventory usage aligns with company standards and policies.
  • Menu Engineering:
  • Collaborate with chefs and the marketing team to evaluate and recommend changes to the menu, ensuring profitability.
  • Analyze sales trends and menu performance to suggest pricing adjustments or menu item changes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in food and beverage cost control, preferably in a restaurant setting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage industry trends and regulations.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
