The Fashion Merchandiser will play a key role in curating, planning, and managing merchandise across multiple segments, including the salon industry, beauty products, and a shoe lifestyle brand. The individual will ensure that products meet market demands, stay ahead of trends, and align with the brand’s overall vision. This role demands a strategic balance of creativity and business acumen to optimize product assortment, sales performance, and inventory management. Key Responsibilities:
Trend Analysis and Forecasting:
Research and analyze emerging trends in fashion, beauty and footwear.
Stay informed on consumer preferences and competitive product offerings to recommend timely product launches.
Product Development and Selection:
Collaborate with design, production, and purchasing teams to curate products for salons, health & beauty lines, and footwear collections.
Ensure that merchandise reflects the brand identity and resonates with target customers across all segments.
Inventory and Stock Management:
Manage stock levels for each segment, ensuring adequate inventory to meet sales goals.
Liaise with suppliers for timely delivery of salon products, beauty treatments, and shoes, ensuring quality and cost-efficiency.
Sales Analysis and Performance Monitoring:
Track sales performance across segments and adjust merchandising strategies based on data insights.
Identify top-selling items and underperformers, making recommendations for future product mixes.
Visual Merchandising:
Work with store and online visual teams to create impactful product displays in salons, beauty stores, and shoe outlets.
Maintain consistency in brand presentation across all segments.
Supplier and Vendor Management:
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with vendors and suppliers in beauty, fashion, and footwear.
Maintain strong relationships to ensure smooth procurement and delivery processes.
Cross-Department Collaboration:
Partner with marketing, sales, and customer service teams to drive product promotions across the salon, health & beauty, and shoe lifestyle segments.
Coordinate seasonal campaigns and launches with an integrated approach.
Budget and Financial Planning:
Prepare and manage merchandising budgets for each segment, balancing cost control with product quality and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in merchandising, with a focus on fashion, beauty, or lifestyle products.
Skills:
Strong understanding of fashion, beauty, and lifestyle trends.
Analytical mindset with experience in sales data interpretation.
Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
Knowledge of visual merchandising and inventory management.
Ability to work across diverse product lines and multitask efficiently.
