Minimum Qualification
DIPLOMA IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING (DME) POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN INDUSTRIAL SAFETY (PGDIS)
Job Description
Carry out Daily safety rounds in manufacturing shops, yards and other areas and report safety observations and provide the supports to area in-charges for corrective actions.
Stop and correct at risk behaviours and unsafe conditions and EHS related non-compliances
To ensure proper implementation of safe work practices and work permit systems
To investigate all incidents including near miss, first aid injury, lost time injury and fire incident and take follow ups for implementation of corrective actions.
To impart safety training and coordinate & assist for conducting mock drills.
To carry out the safety audit and inspections as per safety plan and maintain the records.
To carry out the theme based safety inspections.
To verify and monitor all routine and non-routine activities and check the work permit requirements for hot work, working at height, excavation, open field radiography
To conduct Safety Tool box talks, Hazard Identification rounds, BBS rounds, Monthly counselling, etc.
To review JSAs, HIRACs, OCPs, Legal Register, ERP and other system documents periodically.
To facilitate mitigation measures such as communication and coordination with QRT and Medical Teams, rescue the site, coordinating for firefighting and first aid requirement, etc., in case of any kind of emergency situation
To organise various safety motivational programs and campaigns on various occasions
To conduct departmental safety committee meetings and maintain MOMs.
To carryout quarterly internal inspection and yearly legal inspection of lifting tools, lifting machines and pressure vessels
To perform all EHS related tasks as assigned by management
