Connecting panels Connecting panels to the electrical grid and configuring PV systems based on site conditions and customer needs.
Performing maintenance Performing routine maintenance on PV systems, including inspecting electrical installation and wiring, testing operating voltages, and calibrating systems to ensure they are within acceptable power limits.
Some requirements for solar technicians include:
Strong communication and technical skills
Ability to read building schematics
Basic experience with electrical wiring and circuits
Full range of mobility in upper and lower body
Ability to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment weighing approximately 50 pounds on a regular basis
