- Event set up and breakdown: Setting up and breaking down tables, chairs, buffets, and other equipment
- Food safety: Adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations
- Inventory and ordering: Assisting with inventory and ordering supplies
- Food waste management: Assisting with managing food waste
- Communication: Communicating with suppliers and equipment rental vendors, and consulting with customers about meal or head count changes
- Event site inspection: Inspecting event sites before the event to check the kitchen facilities and plan the layout
- Cost estimation: Estimating the cost of personnel and food for events
- Invoice submission: Submitting invoices for customers in accordance with company policies
