BSc Nursing Staff Nurse
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established hospital protocols and nursing practices.
- Administer medications, treatments, and other prescribed interventions.
- Monitor patient vital signs, assess symptoms, and maintain accurate patient records.
- Assist doctors during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures.
- Educate patients and families on health management and post-treatment care.
- Clinical Support:
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure the continuity of care.
- Prepare and maintain medical equipment, ensuring that all instruments and supplies are sterilized and ready for use.
- Assist in the setup of patient rooms and medical equipment before procedures.
- Perform routine checks on patient progress and update charts regularly.
- Emergency Response:
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide critical care as needed.
- Participate in emergency drills and continuous training for handling medical crises.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Keep thorough records of all patient care, treatments, and progress.
- Report any significant changes in patient conditions to the concerned medical personnel.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and documents for departmental audits.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure all healthcare operations follow patient safety and infection control standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education programs.
Qualifications:
- Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc Nursing) from a recognized institution.
- Valid Nursing License/Registration (as required by local regulations).
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Experience in handling various medical cases, including critical care, will be an advantage.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary healthcare team.
- Empathy and the ability to provide compassionate care to patients.
- Proficiency in using medical software for patient documentation.
- Computer Knowledge
- BSc in Nursing
- Proficient in English and Hindi communication
- 3-5 years of ICU experience
- Skilled in independently handling patients
- Knowledgeable in medical coding
