Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
'- Should Be Value Specialist Certified
- Ensure reduction of material cost without affecting the “desired” value of the product for the customer Lead & Steer the material cost reduction projects to reach at acceptable profitability level.
- Ensure achieving Cost Leadership through sustained material cost reduction through effective planning and execution to meet Yo Y targets
- Synergize bringing together CFTs to generate Cost Reduction ideas by VAVE, work with sourcing team to identify alternate sourcing options, Logistics savings etc.
- Plan and ensure reduction in direct material cost of existing models in AS for achieving targets
- Engage various functions to stay aligned and contribute towards meeting targets
- Institutionalize review mechanism, tracking, monitoring of IMCR initiatives etc for efficient execution Closely work with other divisions in AFS to synergize and deploy cross learnings
- Should have manufacturing and process knowledge of Engine Aggregates
- Should be able to leverage IT to keep track of latest trends in technology
- Knowledge of project management
