We're seeking someone to join our team as an Associate to work alongside the Data Analytics lead to develop analytics, dashboards and insights within specific coverage area of Internal Audit.
The Internal Audit Division (IAD) drives attention and resources to vulnerabilities by providing an independent and well-informed view and impactful messages about the most important risks facing our Firm. This is accomplished by performing a range of assurance activities to independently assess the quality and effectiveness of Morgan Stanley's system of internal control, including risk management and governance systems and processes. IAD serves as an objective and independent function within the Firm's risk management framework to foster continual improvement of risk management processes. This is an Associate level position (P2) within Technical Specialist function, which is responsible for providing extensive subject matter expertise and reinforcing the ability of business and technology audit teams to appropriately assess risk and determine and execute coverage.

What you'll do in the role:
Work with the Data Analytics lead and other stakeholders to establish project objectives and define detailed requirements including, business rules and data acquisition needs
Analyze large, complex data sets to identify trends, patterns and produce compelling insights
Develop processes and scripts to Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) data
Perform ongoing dashboard maintenance, including conducting data quality reviews
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop user-friendly dashboards and visualizations
Collaborate with a wide range of internal stakeholders to build effective working relationships and to execute on team deliverables
Effectively manage multiple deliverables while delivering high-quality work
What you'll bring to the role:
2+ years' of relevant experience; experience in related field of audit analytics in a professional services or global banking and capital markets firm preferred
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and adapt messages to a global audience
Ability to identify patterns and anomalies in data with guidance
A commitment to practicing inclusive behaviors
Willingness to solicit and provide feedback to further develop self and peers
Working understanding of data protection and data sensitivity rules and best practices
Extensive experience developing dashboards in Tableau and Qlik View
Experience using SQL, Python etc. to create complex queries for extracting and analyzing data
Technical knowledge of data models and database design
Ability to translate complex technical data concepts and language into business context
4-year college degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Information Technology, Computing, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields)
Certifications in Tableau, CISA, CISSP, Python, etc. preferred
