Job Summary:
The Senior Academic Counselor will guide students and their parents in choosing appropriate academic programs and courses that align with the student’s educational goals and career aspirations. The role involves advising students, handling inquiries, providing program details, and assisting in the admission process. The Senior Academic Counselor also takes a leadership role in mentoring junior counselors and improving the counseling processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one counseling to students regarding academic courses, career paths, and admission procedures.
Assist students in understanding their academic strengths, interests, and long-term goals to make informed decisions.
Guide students through the enrollment process, including program selection, documentation, and fee payment.
Stay informed about the latest academic programs, entrance exams, and educational trends to offer accurate guidance.
Address inquiries from students and parents in a professional and helpful manner.
Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions, follow-ups, and student progress.
Train, support, and mentor junior academic counselors, ensuring consistent service delivery.
Work closely with the admissions and marketing teams to achieve enrollment targets.
Conduct presentations, workshops, and information sessions for students and parents regarding courses and career options.
Monitor and follow up on leads generated from various channels, such as digital marketing or walk-ins.
Ensure a high level of student satisfaction by offering personalized counseling and support throughout their academic journey.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
Minimum 1 years of experience in academic counseling or student advisory roles.
Strong understanding of academic programs, courses, and career opportunities in various fields.
