We are looking for a talented Branded Content Editor to lead for all commercial content within the business. They produce client content or work with freelancers to ensure the true Time Out tone and support the wider Time Out commercial and content teams where needed.

Responsibilities


The Branded Content Editor is expected to work autonomously and bi lingual preferred. They are a solid writer capable of working with Time Out contributors where needed. They are to produce Time Out commercial, partnership, proposal and event content with the support of other staff members where needed.
Branded Content Editor bears responsibility for:


  • Production lead on all commercial content be it written, social video or e DM materials for both Time Out consumer website and business sites
  • Lead on commissioning freelancers where needed and sub editing all work from third parties and internal where needed
  • Manage the necessary freelancer budgets/PO where required
  • Step in with management support and act as the external liaison where needed
  • They are to assist with managing commercial elements of the weekly e DM
  • They are to assist with the production of a business e DM in time
  • They are to write/manage other solus EDMs or special project e DMs where necessary
  • Managing the flow of content production including writing, producing and editing.
  • Check and sub edit commercial social posts and are trained to produce them where appropriate including social video
  • They are to provide necessary content and ideas for commercial proposals, in addition to subedit pitches and commercial presentations
  • They are to attend commercial client meetings where needed, lead content brainstorming meetings and other commercial meetings as required to contribute native content ideas, and where necessary helping sales staff write content for pitches
  • They are to aid writers by where necessary writing across the website, social and print across regions where needed
  • They are to produce affiliate content where needed
  • They are required to produce commercial reels/Tik Toks where needed
  • They are to work with the content and commercial team to come up with proactive content innovations to sell to clients
  • They are to be the project leads on internal TO events, award offerings to manage both the writerial and commercial agendas
  • They are to ensure commercial content achieves set traffic goals


Skills & Experience



  • At least three years’ experience in a full-time editorial or content writing role.

  • A knack for creative writing, snappy headlines and social media.
  • The ability to produce sparkling and error-free copy.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise accordingly.
  • The ability to work quickly to tight deadlines under pressure.
  • Flexibility, urgency, drive and a professional approach at all times.
  • An affinity for Time Out’s core values of empathy, curiosity, accountability, resilience and optimism.
  • A love of the arts, entertainment, food, drink and travel.
  • A portfolio of published work.
