Purpose

Core Responsibilities

• To prepare daily policy payment and operating expense payment with corresponding accounting vouchers. Follow payment authorisation protocols and address vendors’ queries. Handle various administration tasks within the Finance Operation team.
• Coordinate with Operations team to resolve outstanding policy payments.
• Handle fund trading payment with investment team
• Serve as primary contact for bank related issues, including outstanding cheques and others bank related tasks.
• To execute month-end closing activities e.g. preparing and posting manual journals in a timely manner with accuracy.
• To assist additional month-end closing tasks, including inter-company balance reconciliations, bank reconciliations.
• Work in Group self-control assessment and policy returns on a quarterly basis to ensure the compliance in place and reduce risk.
• Participate in ad hoc projects and answer the queries from other departments and Head Office.

Qualifications / Experience / Requirements

• Accounting or Finance degree holder
• Minimum 2 years working experiences in finance operations
• Insurance accounting knowledge is preferred
• Good communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills are required to work with project managers, external customers such as bankers, fund houses, auditors and Head Office.
• Ability to complete daily finance operations function in a smooth and timely manner.
• Ability to improve the current process to increase efficiency and reduce risk.
• Ability to work independently, under pressure and demanding deadlines
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
• Knowledge of Oracle and Life Asia is an advantage
