Your role and responsibilities
We are now looking for Transport, Trade and Logistics Specialist to join our team at Distribution Solutions unit in Vaasa. In this role you will join the team responsible of ensuring that outbound product and material deliveries, to external and internal clients, are handled according to defined plans and schedules. You will evaluate and decide on best possible forwarders for domestic and export transportations with focus on frame agreements as well as reducing costs and transit times. . The work model for the role is: #LI-hybrid but the work will mainly be conducted at the office. You will be mainly accountable for: • Processing outbound product and material deliveries to external and internal clients • Deciding on the best forwarders for transportations according to frame agreements with focus on reducing costs and transit times • Co-operating with forwarding and transportation service providers to optimize process efficiency • Handling shipping related procedures in compliance with governmental regulations and laws • Working in close co-operation with our internal operations functions to ensure On-time delivery and customer satisfaction • Taking part in continuous development through participation in defined projects related to your tasksQualifications for the role
- A B.Sc. or M.Sc. level degree from a relevant field, such as Industrial Management, Business Administration or similar
- Fluency in Finnish and English, both written and spoken
- A few years of relevant work experience from supply chain or logistics operations
- Previous experience and interests towards working in a global environment
- Strong sense of ownership, efficiency, and resourcefulness
- Ability to work independently as well as to collaborate well with others in a team environment
