To support our growth, we are seeking a Software Development – Technical Lead to join our team in Helsinki. You will play a key role in driving the evolution of our platforms and internal digital services.
Your role: As a Software Development – Technical Lead, you’ll play an important role in providing technical leadership, focusing on solution architecting and planning that ensures scalability, performance, and operational excellence. In addition, you will mentor and coach developers, helping them grow their skills. Bridge business, marketing, and development teams by translating business goals into technical solutions.
Lead technical design discussions and architecture for solutions.
Oversee backend architecture and data modeling ensuring efficient database design and query optimization. (We are using Maria DB, Dynamo DB, S3 but this should not be a limitation to future solutions)
Guide the team in integrating cloud services on AWS and other Saa S platforms (e.g., Hub Spot, Send Grid, Twilio), focusing on scalability, security, and cost optimization.
Knowledge on cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring performance, security, and scalability.
Lead the implementation of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing for reliable deployments.
Collaborate closely with the development team to elevate our technical standards.
Mentor developers, helping them grow their skills
Provide architectural guidance while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
What you’ll bring: Preferred Skills:
Frontend and Backend: Strong understanding of APIs, Next.js framework and React, Javascript for scalable web applications.
Data & DBs: Proficiency in database architecture and management with relational databases and modern data technologies (we are using Maria DB, Dynamo DB, S3)
Cloud Platforms: Expertise in AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3, EC2…) for secure, scalable infrastructure.
Dev Ops: Experience with CI/CD practices and containerization tools like Docker/Kubernetes.
Leadership & Mentorship: Proven track record of mentoring developers and leading small – medium technical teams.
Cross-Team Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders and translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
Soft Skills:
Strategic thinking aligned with long-term business goals.
Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Experience:
7+ years of experience in software development, with expertise in cloud architecture, frontend and backend technologies.
Proven track record of mentoring developers and leading technical teams.
Experienced of working or integrating with Marketing Platforms such as Hub Spot and/or Send Grid is a plus.

About Our Software Development Team We currently have 25 members. Our designers and many of our developers and testers are from our outsourced partners from different locations of the world. Though efficient, our growing business demands increased delivery capacity.
We follow Scrum framework to organize our work and aim for "delivery of values" and "continuous improvement" as a team.
