Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort, home of the iconic Glass Igloos is an enchanting, otherworldly destination located 250 km north of the Arctic Circle in Finnish Lapland. We are looking for skilled, experienced, and service-oriented night receptionist for winter season 24-25. Contract is seasonal, starting October/November until end of March 2025. We provide full hours, 112,5h/3week period. A Hotel Night Receptionist is a friendly face Guest meet, and he/she will make Guests feel welcome, manage room bookings, and assist with Guest request during their stay. The position might require you to occasionally to travel to our other resort in Utsjoki, but this will be separately agreed upon. The role will involve:
Late-night Checking Guests in and out
Assisting and guiding Guests
Booking activities, arranging transport, and so on
Answering emails and phone calls
Supporting colleagues with other tasks around the resort as required
Logging guest information, managing night audits, or handling payments.
Handling guest complaints or requests during overnight hours.
Desired qualifications, skills, and experience:
Fluent in written and spoken English. Other languages are considered an advantage.
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality / Tourism
Previous international work experience
Previous experience cooperating with people around the world is a plus
Good knowledge in PMS or similar, we are using Mews
A proactive attitude and excellent customer service skills
Ability to work independently with professional attitude.
A driving license is a plus
Finnish hygiene passport and alcohol passport is a plus
The location of the resort is in the middle of lovely nature, and here you also have time to enjoy nature and try different activities that you might never get to try otherwise. We have also a small gym for our staff, and possibilities to try cross country skiing and other winter activities. It is possible to rent an apartment through us, so it is easy to join us where ever you are coming from. In terms of employment, we follow the collective agreement of the tourism and restaurant industry, and the salary is according to the agreement, considering the applicant's previous experience and education.
