We are looking for a Manufacturing Supervisor to join our global quality control team in pressure part subcontracting manufacturing. You own willingness to travel in different countries globally and have good English skills understanding both in writing and speaking.
Position is located in Tampere, but other major Valmet locations in Finland can be taken into consideration.
In this role you will be responsible for

Proactive workmanship supervision and coordination including document review in compliance with contractual requirements

Manufacturing schedule supervision
-
HSE-observations and safety walks at the supplier’s premises

Regular reporting to the project team

Support Subcontracting manager to manage the costs related with subcontracted manufacturing in acc. with the contract and budget
Our expectations for you
-
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent degree
-
Familiar with pressure part manufacturing processes as welding, bending and NDE
-
Minimum 5-years of relevant working experience, for example in boiler manufacturing

Willingness to travel. Assignments abroad can be three- to six- month long periods

Good English skills, both written and spoken

Good reporting skills and solid IT skills (MS Office), experience in working with ERP (especially Infor LN) seen as advantage, and willingness to learn new IT tools, if needed

Good communication and interpersonal skills are important when working in different countries globally
