IT Service Manager, IT Engineering Solutions

We are looking for development-oriented IT Service Manager to enforce our Global IT PLM and Engineering Solutions team.
Valmet’s IT PLM and Engineering Solutions team is responsible for IT solution development, implementation and IT Services in digital business domains. The focus is in providing solutions and platforms covering the business needs for Product Life Cycle Management and Engineering domains.
In this expert position, you will be working together with IT and Business stakeholders in tasks related to digitalized business. You will manage and coordinate IT Service Management of CADMATIC Electrical, Sovelia and Ansys solutions so that those services are delivered reliably, cost-effectively, meet the organization's business needs, use the organization’s and vendor resources effectively and follow organization’s ITSM policies and guidelines.
Your future responsibilities with us could be described as a mix of Solution architecture designing, IT Service- and Project Management tasks.
Key tasks for Service Manager:

Running IT governance for solutions for PLM and Engineering
-
Designs new processes, system changes and transition plans together with business- and IT stakeholders
-
Provides support and guidance to the 3rd Party Service Providers in fulfilling their roles and responsibilities in the processes
-
Budget responsibilities for related development projects and IT services
-
Supporting project planning, design delivery and implementation in your area of responsibility
-
Supporting of technical architecture and master data management alignment within are of responsibility
To succeed in this position, we expect you to have:
-
Technical degree; B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Information Systems, Industrial Management, Engineering, Manufacturing or related field equal
-
Strong IT background with 2+ years of work experience in IT project- or service management or Product Lifecycle Management
-
2+ years of experience with electrical or process engineering solutions as well as related IT technologies
-
Genuine interest to follow engineering industry trends and related IT Technologies
-
Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment and deliver results
-
Fluent written and spoken English is a must in Valmet international working environment
Following experience is regarded as an advantage:
-
Experience with engineering processes and procedures
-
Experience with CADMATIC Electrical, Sovelia and Ansys solutions

Knowledge about engineering and simulation

Additional information:
The position can be in Jyväskylä, Järvenpää, Tampere or Vantaa. Valmet is building a completely new, shared office building in the Tikkurila district of Vantaa for its employees currently working in Järvenpää and some of its employees currently working in Hakkila, Vantaa. We will move into the new offices in early 2025.
