BI Platform Owner
We are looking for an ambitious, experienced, and visionary BI (Business Intelligence) Platform Owner within our Enterprise Architect domain. The BI Platform Owner is responsible for leading the technical design, development, and implementation of business intelligence solutions that align with the organisation's business objectives. This individual will serve as a technical expert, providing guidance and mentorship to the development team while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable Reporting and analytics solutions. The Platform Owner will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, project managers, our dedicated Data Insights & Analytics team as well as other IT teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring the successful execution of various types of BI- and analytics projects.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Technical Leadership
Having the attitude of 'I am here to help you' and being a very process driven person. A senior, experienced team player with broad technical IT knowledge and a solid experience from the BI area. Good interpersonal and communication skills are a prerequisite. Readiness to bring the best practices and benchmarking opportunities from the industry to the business. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Technical Leadership
- Lead the technical design, development, and implementation of Qlik Sense & Google Cloud self serving solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team and business teams.
- Monitor platform usage and resource consumption to identify and address bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
- Enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency.
- Translate Mac Gregor`s business needs and requirements into technical terminology and solution
- Foster a data-driven culture by promoting self-service analytics and data literacy across the organisation.
- Define data access controls and user roles to maintain data security and confidentiality.
- Work closely with business stakeholders & Mac Gregor`s Domain owners to gather requirements.

Skills and experience that would help you succeed in this role:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in BI platform administration and management.
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with Qlik Sense development and administration
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services relevant to BI, such as Big Query, Dataflow, Looker Studio and Cloud Storage, is highly desired.
- Experience leading technical teams and mentoring developers.
- Track record of successful BI project delivery and platform adoption.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
