What You'll Do as Azure Data Engineer:
We are excited to announce our IT Insourcing and expand our IT team across multiple sites. This is your chance to be part of a significant transformation that will drive innovation, quality, and growth within our global organization.
What You'll Do as Azure Data Engineer:
- Develop, deploy and maintain data solutions on Outokumpu Global Data Platform, an enterprise-level data platform to provide common data availability for reporting, applicational and analytical use cases.
- Work mostly with structured data including financial data, manufacturing data, procurement data, sales & marketing data, R&D data and supply chain management data, and some image & Io T data.
- Design and implement scalable, robust, and secure data solutions on Azure, including Databricks Lakehouse, ETL/ELT processes, and real-time data processing.
- Create and maintain efficient data models and schemas.
- Optimize data solutions for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Ensure security best practices and compliance across the Azure architecture.
- Provide support for data-related issues and troubleshoot problems as they arise.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement data strategies.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Stay current with the latest developments in Azure technologies and best practices.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Azure data engineering and Databricks Lakehouse.
- Advanced programming skills in Databricks.
- Proficiency in Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, etc.
- Familiar with CI/CD pipelines using Azure Dev Ops.
- Familiar with networking, security, identity management and serverless computing in Azure.
- Familiar with scripting and automation using Power Shell, ARM templates, or similar tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Good experience in streaming analytics, Io T analytics or SAP Data technology is a plus.
Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Data Engineer Associate) are a plus.
