Stora Enso’s Group Accounting and Reporting is responsible for the consolidation of the Group companies’ financials and the preparation of interim and annual reports. We ensure timely and reliable financial reporting to the market complying with IFRS, legal and corporate requirements. Our team maintains and develops the reporting system as well as the processes related to financial reporting. Group Accounting and Reporting provides guidance and training on financial reporting to the units and takes active part in all the major business transactions impacting the Group. The Group’s treasury controlling also belongs to our responsibilities. As a team member of an energetic and improvement-oriented team, you will contribute to many of these areas.
Main areas of responsibility
- You will have a key role in group consolidation process and preparation of interim and annual reports.
- Monitoring the IFRS developments and applying expertise in special accounting areas.
- Be a valued partner to divisions, units and accounting services to ensure that the Group reporting is prepared according to the Group policies and IFRS.
- Develop the external reporting process at the Group level including relevant controls.
- Co-operate with business units in implementation of chart of accounts changes and other ERP relevant changes.
- Auditor co-operation and internal controls development
Qualifications
To succeed in this role you should have a university degree in Accounting and at least 1-3 years of work experience in external accounting, ideally from group level consolidation. You must have solid understanding of financial principles and be interested to work with external accounting.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and competences:
- Detailed knowledge of SAP, HFM or Onestream, IFRS and consolidated financial statements.
- Project management experience would be an asset
- Solid verbal and written communication skills in English, other languages are an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills, proactive approach and willingness to lead initiatives and work independently
- Ability to adapt to changing situations, think outside the box and deliver results within required time frame
- Serve both internal and external stakeholders with high motivation and customer friendly approach
- Act with high integrity to uphold our values and policies
The position is located in Helsinki, Ostrava, Tallinn or other Stora Enso locations. We are applying a hybrid way of working.
