Currently, Pirita Heinänen, the Head of Accounting at Smartvatten, is looking for a future colleague with a can-do attitude who would like to participate and learn at every stage. We are in search of an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our admin team. Such a professional will be very significant in the organization in terms of tracking and processing all incoming payments accurately. We are looking for a candidate with solid grounds in accounts receivable processes, great attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and manage accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of payments
Smartvatten's Netherlands and German entities
Knowledge of the Netherlands and German county VATs
Prepare and send out invoices to clients
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all account activities
Reconcile discrepancies in payments and resolve client billing issues
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure smooth financial operations
Assist with month-end closing procedures related to accounts receivable
Collaborating with the invoicing team and cross-collaborating with all departments in the Netherlands and German markets
Assisting with accounting tasks
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 1 to 1,5 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar role
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities in English and German. Fluent or professional Dutch language skills are seen as a massive plus
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of German market VAT regulations
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Tools: Netsuite, Salesforce, and Microsoft office (excel)
