The Production Manager is a pivotal role within our manufacturing facilities and works with a team of associates on the production line to bring our brands to market. The qualified candidate will be an excellent multi-tasker and should have previous experience coaching and motivating associates in a production environment.
JOB SUMMARY:
Lead a multi-skilled production operations team in a pro-active, hands-on way, delivering all production related plant KBIs, BP commitments, production volume, team management from all aspects; while complying with all company requirements and local regulations across both operating shifts. He/She is responsible for improving and sustaining performance through the deployment of the best-in-class strategies and techniques. Moreover, actively drive diverse business projects (capital & non-capital), lead finite scheduling for liquid/dry parts production and engage with CPS wide initiatives.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage, lead and motivate a multi-skilled operations team for Liquid/Dry Parts resources in an empowered team-based environment, ensuring full engagement of team members.
- Interact with key stakeholders (internal & external) at a strategic and tactical level to enhance capability, flexibility, ensure optimum performance, assets utilization, manage budget, ultimately increasing productivity and delivering competitive cost.
- Develop departmental Business Plan and execute daily and weekly plans to meet all BP & emerging commitments.
- Ensure daily operations are carried out in compliance with all company requirements, appropriate safety, food safety, quality and environmental standards. Lead by example.
- Ensure timely completion of all corrective and preventive actions.
- Allocate the required optimal manpower for each operation ultimately meeting customers’ requirements.
- Ensure consistent and detailed level of communication with team wide members through daily, weekly, and monthly routines.
- Drive, manage and sustain operational excellence and a continuous improvement culture to deliver challenging and step change improvements.
- Continuously improve the productivity of manufacturing resources through daily monitoring of the resources performance and losses reasons.
- Monitor and improve relevant KBIs/Tier metrices (MUV etc.).
- Ensure full compliance with all company policies, regulations and International Standards.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with company requirements while adding value to the management system programs & procedures.
- Build sustainable team capability, provide continuous coaching, adapt flexible organizational structure, transfer scarce skills, deploy performance enhancement strategies, train and support all production associates dealing with the various in-house, new technologies and emerging business needs.
- Maximize operating systems usage (WMRF, SAP, OEE, workday, PE etc.)
- Develop team basic maintenance skills.
- Stop any non-complying activity / process by either company employees, contractors or any other personal in the site if it forms an intolerable or unforeseen risk.
- Support related capital projects and three years outlook, ensuring successful delivery. Lead specific capital projects (Setting specs/Design-to-execution & commissioning)
- Continuously update and maximize resources capacities, oversee the demand vs capacity (short, medium & long terms). Decide the optimal operational pattern to meet the customers demand.
- Develop and enhance the production management system (Programs, SOPs, checklists etc.)
- Active engagement in cross-functional committees (food safety, packaging, safety, PDR & SDR etc.) and CPS wide committees.
- Active involvement in various technical wide discussions and reviews (capital, R&D etc.)
- Benchmark with other CPS plants and similar industries importing best practices.
- Drive value creation (costs saving / avoidance) and value optimization initiatives.
EOHS
- Encourage appropriate positive attitudes towards EOHS
- Apply relevant EOHS policy and procedures
- Actively participate in EOHS inspections, audits and risk assessment.
- Ensure all hazards and incidents are reported and investigated appropriately and suitable controls are implemented.
- Has the authority to stop any activity that violate the company EOSH management system.
- Participating in the Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) program
Food Safety
- Fully committed to comply with the food safety policy and to the continuous improvement of the food safety system/framework.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelors Degree, Engineering (preferred), Science, Pharmacy
Experience: Three to Five years of related experience and minimum two years as people Manager.
