The head of API Acceleration team will be interacting very closely with the global portfolio lead and the local country manager to insure the alignment of the global strategy and the local business.
He / She will -also be working closely with different entities inside and outside the organization, including (but not limited to): marketing, sales, and operations teams. As well as the technical lead, the product owners, and the developers.
He/She will be leading the split of activities with the Newco Lot1 SI Partner and in charge of ensuring the upskilling of these team and the quality of deliveries.
He / she is required to undertake the following responsibility:

• Lead the API acceleration program within Orange Business, which includes:
  • Leading team of senior architects who are dedicated to the implementation of the "API-First" approach within the whole organization.
  • Leading the development of "APIs for business" product which consists of generic customer-centric APIs aimed to expose all the OB functions to customers in an easy and unified manner.
  • Acting as a main stakeholder for the implementation of the API gateway from an Orange Business perspective.
• Setting the vision / mission / KPIs for the API transformation within the organization and outside with the Si partner.
• Setting up a clear API catalogue with Digital Marketing
• Changing the CTIO and Orange Business culture to fully understand the benefits of "API-First".
• Guiding the different projects on the correct implementation of API-first and the Orange recommendations for APIs.

• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum and SAFe methodologies for managing complex projects and adapting to changing requirements.
• Proficiency in cloud and distributed systems design patterns (Microservices, REST, SOA, Open API, API Gateway ex. APIGEE, KONG, Mulesoft)
• Understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF), especially telecom (TMForum)
• Good knowledge in programming languages (node.js, React/Angular, shell, SQL, No SQL)
• Experience with service delivery process (ITSM/ITIL)
• Knowledge of code versioning tools (Git Lab/Git Hub)

Votre profil

Educational background:

• B.Sc. in computer science or equivalent
• Fluent in English, French is a plus.

Professional Experience:

• 10+ years’ experience in the IT industry.
• 5+ years’ experience in management.

The CDIO department is in charge of decision-making for information systems, serving Orange Business different lines of business such as marketing, sales, and operations for both France and international domains.

In this context, the API Acceleration Program is a transformation program within Orange Business, aiming at accelerating the internal transformation within the organization as well as contributing to building Customer APIs “API4Business”. The main aim of the program is to transform the architecture of the existing applications to be more modular with REST APIs, and to provide Self-Service APIs to the Orange Business customers. Part of this program is creating a transversal team of developers and architects, whose main target is to design/develop an API layer as well as to act as a transversal enabler to help other development teams peruse their API transformation as early as possible.
Within Newco the acceleration program will also help in RFPs activities and in the deployment of a COST IPaa S to replace the current APIs exposition structure and also a part of the Business Layer activities.
Newco deploys through the contracting of external providers “System Integration Partners”. The head of API Acceleration pgm is also in charge of piloting this external team in Egypt and in India.
