Data Analyst Purpose of the Job This position is responsible for collecting and analyzing data to identify patterns, trends and provide management with useful information that can improve the organizations practices. The process includes, but is not limited to, identifying, gathering, analyzing raw data and making insights to the organization through meaningful, easy to understand graphs, charts, tables and reports. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Partner with key stakeholders across the organization to identify opportunities to the enhancement or manipulation of data to achieve organizational goal
Define indicators of performance and quality metrics and ensure compliance with data related policies, standards, roles and responsibilities, and adoption requirements
Responsible for creating the PMF "Performance Measurement Framework" with each manager and ensure the alignment of data and PMF as what data is being collected, in which format and its analysis algorithms
Use data analysis tool to avail collecting data from different sources, ensure its compatibility and co-relate these data to extract meaningful information using data mining correlation algorithms
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends and patterns in complex data sets
Analyze local, national, and global trends that impact both the organization and the industry
Build and customize dashboards and reports in both high overview and detailed types
Use data visualization tools and techniques to convert complex data sets to simple business oriented formats, such as diagrams and graphs
Lead a CRM data group with a focus on improving data quality, creating processes and procedures, and data documentation
Work with the technology team to identify larger-scale system changes and necessary integrations, gather requirements, develop specifications, work with external and/or internal technical resources to implement changes, and conduct thorough data testing
Required Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems Management or related fields
5 - 8 years of proven working experience in data analysis
Strong mathematical skills to help collect, measure, organize and analyze data
Understanding of website scripts such as XML, Javascript, JSON
Digital marketing analytics tools including Google 360, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Adobe Marketing Suite
Technical proficiency regarding database design development, data models, techniques for data mining, and segmentation
Experience in handling reporting packages like Business Objects, programming (Javascript, XML, or ETL frameworks), databases
Proficiency in statistics and statistical packages like Excel, SPSS, SAS to be used for data set analyzing
Experience in using data processing platforms like Hadoop and Apache Spark
Experience in reporting and data visualization tools such as Business Objects, Power BI and Tableau
Knowledge of how to create and apply the most accurate algorithms to datasets in order to find solutions
Presentation skills - ability to write and speak clearly to communicate complex ideas in a way that is easy to understand
Very good verbal and written communication skills
Travel and Working requirements
Typical office environment limited to walking, sitting, typing, using office equipment, and occasional lifting of boxes or luggage during travel
Occasional travel, nationally or internationally, is expected
Working out of the official hours and on weekends may be required
Regular contact with staff in Cairo Office and field staff
Frequent contact with external partners such as technology vendors
