Saxo Bank's credit-related clients are represented in many different countries, making the challenges unique compared to other Danish banks. These financial counterparties are typically banks and brokers, but also in some cases business enterprises.
The Group Credit Department consists of six employees (including two students) and its overall purpose is to monitor and manage Saxo Bank's credit risk at group level. This includes credit risk in connection with individual clients' activities in Saxo Bank as well as credit risk in connection with Saxo Bank's own investments.
Group Credit manages all credit exposures within the Saxo Group by credit assessing clients including approving credit applications and renewing existing credit exposures. Furthermore, Group Credit plays a key role in ensuring that credit risk is managed within issued appetite levels and specific limits. In addition, the department is central in defining the group credit policy and related principles and guidelines.

Our two current students have been a part of this journey for more than two years, but they will finalize their master’s theses this winter and we are therefore hiring their replacements.
Responsibilities

Participate in the ongoing credit renewal process of clients and financial counterparts, including:

Act as a backup on dunning process (follow up on weak customers)

Solve ad hoc analytical credit related reporting tasks

Handle other ad hoc issues

Participate in projects
Your profile
As a person you have strong analytic skills and thrive on analysing companies and preferably financial institutions. You do not have to be an expert when it comes to analysing said foreign customers. With the job will follow a comprehensive training within the group credit department.
You can act independently in a dynamic organization, and you appreciate an informal, open-minded and positive work environment.
Further we are looking for a person with the following qualifications:

Bachelor student (-Merc, -Polit, -Mat), preferably on your 2nd year

Structured and strong analytical approach to your tasks at hand

Hold IT skills (Word and Excel)

Ideally: can credit analyse on the basis of Financial Statements (finance and accounting skills)

Ideally: holds insight into financial instruments and related trading activities

You have a good overview of the duties and able to prioritize

Persistent in finding solutions.
