Imagine a future where you contribute to model and stress testing our financial risks and enable our new risk management framework Join us in this role where you’ll be coding risk measures, building business solutions, and carrying out ad hoc analyses on the value we deliver. Your main responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining code and tools while using your technical skills to continuously enhance and optimise our in-house-built risk management engine. There's a lot of freedom in our daily work, and we take pride in ensuring high quality in everything we do. We’re highly proficient in modelling and finance and excel at delivering quality solutions by utilising both skill sets. Welcome to Risk Models & Analytics
You’ll be part of one of our two risk model development teams within Group Risk Management where you, together with your colleagues, will be responsible for modelling the Group’s financial risks. Each team consists of six developers working at the intersection of finance and IT. One team primarily focuses on our future infrastructure while the other works with stakeholder management and risk partnering. Both teams collaborate closely and interact frequently with the rest of Group Risk Management. Based on the interviews, we’ll decide together where your profile is best suited. As a team, we maintain an informal tone, enjoy shared coffee breaks, and strive to have fun throughout the day while learning from each other.
You’ll play an important role in:
challenging existing processes, deliveries, and stakeholders to ensure maximum business impact on new solutions
translating business requirements into high-quality and fit-for-purpose solutions
continuously supporting, improving, and operating our risk engine deliveries
ensuring that we work as efficiently as possible and atomising any work process that takes time away from development (testing, deployment, etc.) as well as for the risk managers.
To succeed in the role, you:
have well-developed capabilities within coding, e.g. Python, SAS, or similar
thrive in actively engaging with, providing, and receiving feedback to and from our stakeholders, who are predominantly risk management and IT experts
are proficient within finance and/or statistics, preferably with an understanding of financial products such as options, futures, and similar
engage in collaboration across teams, functions, locations, and cultures while also working well independently
embrace working in a dynamic work environment, as Ørsted is currently undergoing significant changes
thrive in an informal and collaborative environment.
Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply. Join a global leader in renewable energy
