C# Software Engineer for Core systems

About the role
As our new Software Engineer in the Core systems part of the Logistics Tribe, you will play a key role in transforming and scaling our capabilities within the business. You will be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about creating and transforming solutions that will scale, while also keeping an eye out for adding new capabilities for our end users, so they can service our customers even better.
In this role, you’ll use your skills to design, build, and optimize systems that streamline our logistics business, ensuring that our services are fast, efficient, and tailored to the needs of those we serve. Your work will directly impact all our logistic planners who are responsible for making sure that freight goes where it needs to, when it needs, in the most cost efficient and environmentally friendly way possible. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across business areas, ensuring that every solution is not only technically sound but also aligned with delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.
We expect you and your team to take responsibility for the continuous modernization of the platform. Our current solution is a monolithic solution based on on-prem hardware. Long term, we are going to be evolving the solution towards an architecture centered around event driven, API first components in the cloud. This is however a long journey, not something in the immediate future.
As our new Software Engineer, you will be involved in:

We expect you to hold a relevant educational background in Computer Science or similar, and to have solid experience developing applications using C# and .NET.
Knowledge and practical experience with all the following technologies and architectures is not a requirement but a nice to have - we do however expect that you have experience with at least some of them:

- Defining and following best practices within your team and help push technology in the team forward.
- Implement code in C# .Net of high quality, and actively seek to improve quality of existing code.
- Engage, coordinate, and collaborate activities within your team.

We expect you to hold a relevant educational background in Computer Science or similar, and to have solid experience developing applications using C# and .NET.
Knowledge and practical experience with all the following technologies and architectures is not a requirement but a nice to have - we do however expect that you have experience with at least some of them:
- 2+ years of experience as software developer using C# and .NET (Framework or Core)
- Azure Dev Ops and Git
- Relational databases, e.g., Microsoft SQL Server or Postgre SQL
- Entity Framework
- Kafka & Event Driven Development
- Domain Driven Design (DDD)
- Grafana
