Objective:
Develop, execute, and control an efficient predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance system on equipment and facilities, to avoid production delays and meet the manufacturing goals and project objectives, in accordance with the Quality System and asset preservation practices, as well as maintain a risk-free environment for employees' health.
Main responsibilities:
Coordinate and oversee maintenance activities performed by internal (maintenance technicians) and external personnel at Establishment Labs. This includes coordinating with the Engineering and Maintenance Manager and their staff to ensure that all equipment and facilities are properly maintained to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal functionality. Additionally, the supervisor supports the training and development of the technicians to development them to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Execute assigned activities in compliance with Quality System guidelines, update and improve procedures and documents related to maintenance engineering.
Monitor maintenance expenses to align with approved budgets.
Ensure environmental systems are operational and notify of any identified risks or issues. Monitor and report on pest control systems and maintain safe facilities and equipment conditions
Lead and communicate actions during and after emergency events affecting operations. Maintain a focus on customer service within the Maintenance department
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering careers related to mechanics, electric, industrial maintenance, electromechanics, electronics or similar.
Knowledge and experience in automation (PLC, PID, VFD, HMI, etc.), pneumatics and hydraulics.
2 years of experience in industrial maintenance, focused on the manufacture of medical devices, pharmaceutics, electronics, or high-volume production.
