The position performs financial audits, SOX 404 control reviews, and continuous monitoring procedures as part of a global audit team to ensure Business Unit (BU) and GFS (Global Financial Services) financial statements and controls are by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Corporate policies and procedures.
The position is located in Escazu, San Jose, Costa Rica; however, team members and supervisors are located globally in the US, Asia, and Europe requiring effective communication and flexible work hours based on assignments. The position will primarily work with the Costa Rica Audit Supervisor and US team members on American audits
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Performing financial audits and SOX 404 control reviews to ensure business unit financial statements and controls are by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Corporate policies and procedures.
Making risk-based selections based on data analytics dashboards through the use of Power BI.
Agreeing risk-based selections back to supporting documents and investigating any differences.
Reviewing account reconciliations and accrual analyses, investigating differences, and assessing methodology for reasonableness.
Providing audit status reports to the Audit Supervisor on a timely basis
PBC coordination and partner concern with the Audit Supervisor.
Responsible for quarterly continuous monitoring program procedures at GFS, which includes reviewing transactional data, making risk-based selections, gathering supporting documentation, and testing transactions. Coordinate the testing of selections from the LAM world area.
Provide oversight and monitoring of the Latin America statutory audits.
Travel for this position is approximately 10%, primarily within the United States and Latin America.

For This Role, You Will Need:
Advanced English (B1) required, Portuguese is a plus
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance or other business-related fields required
CPA or CIA preferred.
0-2 years of experience in Audit/ Accounting role
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
Big 4 or previous internal audit experience preferred
Consistent record in assessing risk and adjusting audit procedures is vital
Strong analytical skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
