What You Will Achieve
Your financial skills will help in examining, verifying and analyzing business records and transactions concerning financial status and operating procedures based on historical costs. You will also analyze the costs of operations and perform traditional general accounting functions. You will analyze credit limits, monitor and control cash flows and procedures including domestic and international banking, expenses, debt and investments. You will direct and coordinate between the company, its stockholders and the financial institutions.
You are recognized as an advisor to other colleagues in your group due to your comprehensive knowledge and skills in finance and accounting, and your understanding of the larger organization. You are innovative in identifying solutions to problems by taking a broader perspective that benefits the organization. You encourage collaboration and communication within the team and across groups to influence desired outcomes. You train others and provide guidance to the team that helps us achieve our goal of providing the best healthcare to patients.

How You Will Achieve It
- Organize own workload and follow up on outstanding items.
- Work of own initiative with guidance and support from management and senior colleagues.
- Identify issues and continuous improvement opportunities and communicate to management.
- Maintain complete and accurate standard operating procedures and support control documentation requirements (Sarbanes Oxley).
- Effectively collaborates with stakeholders and colleagues of diverse backgrounds, including different departments, cultures, business units and countries.
- Prepare monthly journal entries as needed.
- Ensure accounting transactions are in compliance with Pfizer accounting policy, US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and local GAAP accounting.
- Compose and key all accounts payable accrued invoices.
- Responsible for keeping accurate and up-to-date Work Instructions, Job Aids and Desktop Procedures documentation.
- Demonstrate business acumen and be able to apply market specific knowledge in Business Partner and Customer interactions.
- Determine appropriately whether to act independently or to escalate a decision.
- Handle accounting policy and procedure inquiries, ad hoc reporting and analysis requests.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years of demonstrated experience in accounting, which includes reviewing and processing invoices, and researching various issues with vendor invoices
- Good understanding of system functionality and processes
- Ability to organize and prioritize work
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills in MS Office, especially MS Excel, Word, Power Point
Nice-to-Have
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience in a fast-paced multinational company, in a Shared Services environment
