ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
As a build engineer, you will have the opportunity to work with team of Linux OS engineers and be responsible for monitoring, executing and reporting of software builds as well as improving performance and maintaining the build systems for Linux OS team to be used in Telecommunications, A&D, Industrial and Medical applications.
You'll work closely with Product Management, QA, OS dev, and customer-facing teams to ensure software requirements are met timely. Excellent communication skills, collaboration, and teamwork are essential, as you'll actively participate in global projects. You should have 6+ years of Linux platform working experience including build tools and setting up software build systems.

- Strong troubleshooting ability.
- A self-motivated person with a high sense of responsibility.
- Good understanding of developer’s workflow is a plus.
- Experience in developing, monitoring, and/or sustaining build system.
- Experience and knowledge of software and/or Linux distribution build process is a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS
- BS or MS in Computer Science or related majors.
- At least 6+ years Linux platform working experience, as user experience including build tools and setting up software build systems.
- 4+ years of experience in developing Dev Ops and software environments
- 2+ years of experience with setting up and using AWS, Google, Azure cloud.
- Developing experience and familiarity with language C, python and Shell programming.
- Experience with git, Jenkins are required.
- Experience with OSTree, OBS, Terraform and Pulp is highly recommended.
- Experience with container technology, including docker, kubernetes, Helm ...etc.
- Have knowledge and experience on Linux distributions (Debian, Cent OS, Open Suse, etc), skilled in deb, apt, yum, rpm, dpkg and other system tools
- Skilled in various debug tools under Linux, for example gdb, strace, and ftrace,
- Good understanding of Agile and Dev Ops concepts.
