HR Pre-Payroll Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented HR Pre-Payroll Analyst to join our team in Costa Rica. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of time and attendance processes and will be committed to providing excellent support to our employees. This role involves managing the time-tracking process for US Payroll, responding to employee & stakeholders’ inquiries, assisting with the hiring process, maintaining employee profiles, monitoring system integrations, and collaborating closely with the payroll department.
In summary, as the HR Pre-Payroll Analyst, you will:
- Manage the time tracking & attendance process for US payroll, providing support to all sites.
- Employee Support: Respond to employee inquiries regarding time and attendance via email and Service Now, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of issues.
- Collaboration with Payroll: Work closely with the payroll department to ensure that timekeeping data is accurate and up to date, supporting timely payroll processing.
- Hiring Process Assistance: Support the HR team by assisting with the hiring process, including entering critical information into employee profiles and ensuring data accuracy.
- Data Entry: Accurately enter and update essential employee information in the Workday system, maintaining the integrity of our workforce data.
- Integration Monitoring: Regularly monitor integration errors between Workday and ADP, troubleshooting issues as they arise to ensure seamless data flow.
- Employee Life Cycle Support: Collaborate with the Employee Life Cycle team to resolve master data-related issues, ensuring a smooth transition throughout the employee journey.
- HRBP Support: Provide support to HR Business Partners (HRBPs) regarding time and attendance inquiries, HR processes, and general questions to enhance overall HR support.
- Understanding of Hire to Retire Processes: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Hire to Retire processes to effectively support employee and organizational needs.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in Costa Rica.

Minimum Qualifications:
Work Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in similar HR analyst roles.
Technical Proficiency
- Familiarity with HR systems like Service Now, Workday, ADP, etc.
Employee Support
- Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication, both written and verbal, to respond to employee inquiries. English B2+ as minimum is a must.
- Customer Service Orientation: Ability to provide excellent support and resolve issues promptly.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Service Now, Workday, ADP and email systems.
Hiring Process Assistance
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in entering key information into employee profiles.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain data accuracy.
- HR Knowledge: Understanding of Hire-to-Retire processes and policies.
Data Entry
- Accuracy: High level of precision in entering and updating employee information.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using Workday and other HRIS systems.
- Data Management: Ability to maintain data integrity and confidentiality.
Integration Monitoring
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve integration errors.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of Workday and ADP systems.
- Attention to Detail: Regular monitoring and accurate reporting of issues.
Collaboration with Payroll
- Teamwork: Ability to work closely with the payroll department.
- Data Accuracy: Ensuring timekeeping data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication to support timely payroll processing.
Employee Life Cycle Support
- Collaboration: Working with the Employee Life Cycle team to resolve issues.
- HR Knowledge: Understanding of master data and employee transitions.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to address and resolve data-related issues.
HRBP Support
- Support Skills: Providing assistance to HR Business Partners.
- HR Knowledge: Understanding of time and attendance processes.
- Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication to enhance HR support.
Understanding of Hire to Retire Processes
- Comprehensive HR Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Hire to Retire processes.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and support employee and organizational needs.
- Continuous Learning: Staying updated with HR best practices and processes.
Preferred Competencies
- Data Analysis: Ability to analyze HR data and generate insights.
- Bachelors degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economy, industrial engineering or related fields.
- Project Management: Skills in taking part in small-to-medium sized HR projects and initiatives.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement, plus outstanding customer service orientation.
- Business Acumen: Understanding of how HR processes impact overall business goals.
