TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for timely and complete execution of accounting operations activities assigned. Ensure data quality and SAP system setup in line with group standards and divisional requirements, also to meet local business steering requirement for area of responsibility.
Support Legal Entities’ PAIV (product costing & inventory valuation) and VF (value flow) topics to ensure material correctness of inventory values on legal entities (checking of process order settlement results and follow up variances on production orders and purchase prices, monitor product accounting and value flow data and follow up on correction requirements identified).
Support the analysis of the Income Statement in the area of responsibility on selective topics.
Support external & internal audit and perform ICS controls in his own area of expertise and responsibility
Support the overall closing and budgeting processes. Review the closing results and follow up with divisions and functions; perform manual postings where applicable.
Act as change agent with respect to process/continuous improvement measures and support/steer projects in the area of Management Accounting. Initiate and support optimization projects and continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality and efficiency.
Monitor and actively contribute to achieve Service Levels of Accounting in collaboration with GBS .
WHO YOU ARE
University degreein Business Administration, Finance and Accounting or equivalent degree.
At least four years professional experience in General Accounting, Product Costing, Financial Analysis or similar fields.
Fluent in English, both spoken and written – other languages appreciated.
Skillful in SAP ERP FI / CO module with a good overview of interfaces with other modules.
Fundamental understanding of global accounting and controlling processes and their point of intersection with other business processes.
Profound knowledge of subgroup value flows and controlling logic. • Good communication skills and analytical thinking.
Ability to work independently developing alternative solutions to complex problems, and at a high degree of accuracy, initiative, reliability, and flexibility.
Demonstrated ability to work on teams and promote the team approach building up trustful relationships across all levels of organization
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or Certified Management Account (CMA).
Knowledge of Bayer Group accounting and reporting requirements, especially PA/IV and/or VFM in accordance with the Bayer Cost Accounting Directive.
