Mernova Medicinal Inc. is recruiting for a Territory Sales Representative working remotely/on the ground in Newfoundland . This position reports to the CEO/Managing Director. This role is responsible for promoting Mernova and the Ritual Green brand and increasing sales in Newfoundland, starting with St John's. You will enhance knowledge and brand visibility at the Point of Sales in various Retail stores throughout Newfoundland, starting with St John's, while building strong relationships with store management and sales associates; making Ritual Green the preferred cannabis brand. As a Territory Sales Representative, you will make in person visits to NCL Stores to establish and maintain relationships with NLC Point of Sales contacts within your defined territory. You will ensure consistency of the brand presence and customer experience. You will oversee all aspects of but not limited to securing shelf space, building sale opportunities, providing in-store training/education sessions, distributing merchandise and increasing brand/product knowledge. You will educate and motivate the Point of Sale contacts about all the brand's products, promotions, and brand mission, while being an enthusiastic ambassador of the brand. Duties and Responsibilities:
Promote the company's existing Ritual Greens brands and introduce new products to Newfoundland and Labrador retailers in order to increase sales and brand awareness.
Conduct customer intercepts and product knowledge sessions with NLC stores.
Visit / call cannabis retailers.
Answer questions from retailers.
Increase sales.
Maintain relationships with Newfoundland and Labrador retailers.
Promote marketing initiatives and strategies.
Build/increase brand awareness.
Research and develop marketing opportunities and plans; understand consumer requirements, identify market trends, and suggest system improvements to achieve the company's marketing goals.
Gather, investigate, and summarize market data and trends to draft reports.
Implement new sales plans and advertising.
Train, schedule, and coach cannabis store managers to promote Mernova products as top sellers in stores.
Maintain relationships with important clients by making regular visits, understand their needs, and anticipate new marketing opportunities.
Stay current in the industry by attending educational opportunities, conferences, and workshops, reading publications, and maintaining personal and professional networks.
Work closely with the Social Media Specialists to develop content on multiple platforms.
Attend trade shows and travel to meet retail clients as needed.
Implement and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Other duties may be assigned from time to time.
Experience and Qualifications
Minimum three-years of experience in marketing / sales.
Strong knowledge of cannabis industry and Ritual Green products.
Able to handle a varied work agenda.
Able to obtain Health Canada Security Clearance.
Able to multi-task and make quick decisions to keep product moving effectively.
Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize work.
Strong analytical and creative thinking.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Detail oriented and problem-solving skills.
Must be self-directed and work well with minimal supervision.
