You will have a reasonable level of autonomy in decision-making and the ability to expand the network of customers. The Job In this role you will work with new and existing accounts, building long-term customer relationships. You will source new business opportunities as well as maintain existing relationships through a combination of techniques, including networking, cold calling, supplied advertising, direct mailings with follow-up, and other proactive prospecting methods.
The core element of this job is to secure heavy equipment and vehicles including commercial to fill the auction yard ahead of each sale date.
Work with companies in wide range of industries, including construction, oilfield, equipment sales and rental, mining, transportation, utilities, government, etc.
Conduct and present research on potential new customers and how you may convert them into new business.
Key account management, developing relationships and utilising the CRM system.
Working to targets, you will grow your territory through establishing new business relationships and maximise consignments using your already established network of contacts in the industry.
Gather market intelligence and develop a strategy/plan to effectively grow and manage consignments in your assigned territory.
Conduct and present research on potential new customers and how you may convert them into new business.

The Person To be successful in this role you must be all of the following:
A machinery or auto enthusiast with an entrepreneurial nature who can maximise sales from new and existing customers.
An excellent negotiator with the ability to spot opportunities and the good sense to act on them.
Experienced in hunting new business opportunities using current and innovative techniques.
Competent with the ability to create a demand for consigned equipment.
A self-starter who can work independently.
An excellent communicator with a great ability to build rapport and attract Buyers and Sellers to our auctions.
Essential Requirements
Valid Driver’s Licence A proven sales record with experience selling Construction/Heavy Equipment, auto or commercial vehicles . ie: Excavators, Backhoe Loaders, Skid Steers, Loaders, Gators/ASV, Telehandlers, Compressors, Generators, Cranes, Commercial Trucks, Pickups, RV’s etc.
Proven revenue attainment record through proactive lead generation and consultative selling techniques.
Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Have excellent business presentation skills.
Proficiency in basic computer skills and applications.
