Are you an experienced Technical Trainer with background training in Point-of-Sale systems? Do yo have expertise training in software applications, ideally in retail environments?
We are looking for a Technical Trainer for an initial 12-month contract to work remotely supporting our client in Regina, Saskatchewan. If you were able to work hybrid on-site in Regina or have the ability to attend training in Regina, that is preferred, but not mandatory as the position can be remote.

Responsibilities
- Conduct training sessions on software applications, with a focus on the new POS system and the Emerald ecosystem.
- Develop training materials, including job aids, checklists, and slide decks.
- Deliver training through various methods, including in-person sessions, virtual classrooms, and blended learning approaches.
- Adapt training delivery to accommodate different learning styles and technical backgrounds of the audience.
- Create interactive and engaging learning experiences that promote knowledge retention and application.
- Address questions, technical issues, and challenges that arise during training sessions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including managers, store clerks, finance teams, and operations, to understand their training needs and provide customized training solutions.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and advancements in relevant software applications.
- Continuously improve training materials and methodologies based on feedback and evaluation.
Qualifications
- Technical expertise in software applications, particularly in retail environments.
- Experience as a technical trainer of Point-of-Sale systems
- Proven experience as a technical trainer
- Skilled with Word, Excel, Power Point, Share Point and Camtasia
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Familiarity with various training delivery methods, including in-person and virtual sessions.
- Experience in creating training materials, job aids, and slide decks.
- Adaptability and problem-solving skills in addressing different learning styles and challenges.
- Interpersonal skills to establish rapport and collaborate effectively with diverse audiences.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
