We are seeking an experienced Site Superintendents for new-building and infrastructure construction projects in Saskatchewan. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing all trades and effectively managing daily on-site activities. The successful candidate must possess the knowledge, experience, and confidence to engage and professionally interact with the design professionals, consultants and client while successfully directing the sub-contractors and other construction related personnel in planning, coordinating and safely executing the work in accordance with the contract documents, schedule and budget. This individual will work closely with the Project Manager and fulfill an integral role on the project. Candidate must be professional, Hands-on personable leader committed to the overall objective and self development within the company. Responsibilities: The following is a list of the major responsibilities of the Site Supervisor: Ø Assist in the preparation of the project schedule. Ø Review the project plans and specifications and comment on the building design, scheduling, possible cost savings measures and potential construction problems. Ø Have confidence in own ability to intelligently communicate with design team/client as well as effectively lead the trades. Ø Contact, schedule and coordinate all subcontractors, suppliers, and utilities. Ø Monitor and maintain the project construction schedule on a weekly basis. Ø Raise and discuss relevant issues at the job site meetings. Ø Inform the Project Manager of any errors, discrepancies or omissions contained within the Consultant’s design drawings. Ø Maintain a safe job site and ensure that the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act are enforced. Ø Coordinate and direct independent testing and inspections as required. Ø Maintain and enforce good construction standards and quality control. Ø Maintain control and responsibility for the security and operation of directly owned equipment on the job site. Ø Control and monitor labour, material, and equipment expenses. Assist in the preparation of the monthly cost forecasting summaries. Qualifications: To be considered for this position you will possess the following skills, attributes, and abilities: Ø Minimum 5 years experience as a Site Superintendent on commercial, infrastructure and new building construction projects. Ø College or university degree in a construction related field an asset. Ø Must have Red Seal Journeyperson Carpentry Status or equivalent Ø Must have understanding of construction terms, scheduling and planning concepts. Ø Proficient in Microsoft Word, and Excel. Ø Excellent organizational, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $30.00-$55.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week Additional pay:
