ABOUT THE JOB
Marid Industries Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and energetic saw operator to join our team! This is an exciting full-time opportunity for an individual to join our growing team on day and night shift. As part of the production team, you will be responsible to cut steel in required measurements of length and width, in accordance to instruction and/or documentation (drawings).

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 44 per week

Marid Industries Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and energetic saw operator to join our team! This is an exciting full-time opportunity for an individual to join our growing team on day and night shift. As part of the production team, you will be responsible to cut steel in required measurements of length and width, in accordance to instruction and/or documentation (drawings).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilizes saw machine to cut steel and stack piles of finished product
- Unload steel from the transferable table to floor area
- Stack items in detail room ensuring that detail is marked and piled in sections for specific jobs.
- Sends unused steel to short rack or back into yard
- Marks cut pieces with appropriate piece mark using tool determined by finish and/or end use
- Some industry related experience using a saw in a hazardous working environment an asset.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical documents such as drawings and specifications
- Previous experience in a related position relative to the steel industry is considered an asset.
- Forklift, crane training is considered an asset
- Safety training is an asset but employer will train.
