Residential Support Worker
Overview
We are seeking dedicated Support Workers to provide compassionate care and assistance to individuals in need. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those requiring support in various settings.
Duties
- Assist individuals with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary requirements
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Support individuals with mobility issues and transfers
- Engage clients in activities that promote physical and mental stimulation
Requirements
- Experience or knowledge in caregiving, assisted living, or home care
- Familiarity with senior care practices and understanding of dementia care
- Ability to administer medications following prescribed guidelines
- Proficient in meal preparation and adhering to dietary restrictions
- Strong communication skills and empathy towards individuals requiring assistance
