About the Organization
The Respiratory Epidemiology Research Team conducts research related to lung health across the lifespan as well as the epidemiology of respiratory diseases. The research program includes studies that collect primary data, analyses of secondary data as well as evidence synthesis projects.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Principal Investigator, the Research Assistant will support research activities related to lung health and will also contribute to general research activities and support the PI across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of documentation for research ethics applications.
- Prepare and verify the source documentation and complete electronic Case Report Forms (e CRF).
- Carry out data entry, conduct literature reviews and critical appraisal of relevant research.
- Perform administrative duties including, coordinating meetings, preparing documentation for meetings taking meeting minutes.
- Prepare datasets, conducts analyses, and format results.
- Contribute to report and manuscript writing.
Note
On campus role: Due to operational requirements, the successful applicant is required to work in-person on campus.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in epidemiology, statistics, health or social sciences, with 2 years related research experience.
- Ability to analyze and synthesize information to inform research reports, proactively provide input, coordinate and organize research work.
- Demonstrated experience working with quantitative data analysis and statistical software programs such as Stata, R, SAS.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of multidisciplinary team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, Teams, Share Point, etc.
