Job Posting: Project Coordinator at Mega Rebar
Mega Rebar, a rebar fabricator and distributor situated in Maple Ridge BC, is actively seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Project Coordinator. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity that offers competitive compensation and benefits. Our brand-new facility is equipped with top-of-the-line equipment, computer hardware, and software.
Core Duties:

• Maintain open and effective communication with project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
• Work closely with team members to understand project requirements and ensure that rebar detailing meets design and safety standards.
• Communicating and building relationships with subcontractors
• Attending regular project meetings to review progress, address challenges, and make necessary adjustments.
• Managing change orders, RFI’s, shop drawing submittals including pricing and coordinating with contractors/detailers, and assessing schedule and cost impacts
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections to oversee fabrication processes, quality control measures, and adherence to safety standards.
• Ensure Health & Safety practices are being followed on all sites and contribute to the advancement of a safe working environment.
• Entering orders into a Sa software
• Checking shop drawings vs structural drawings with detailers

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• 2-3 Years minimum experience as a Project Coordinator in the rebar fabrication industry or a construction environment.
• Advanced computer skills including intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
• A high degree of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Must have rebar experience

Assets:

• a Sa rebar software experience
• Rebar detailing experience

Work Conditions

• Office work in a newly built, clean, and air-conditioned building.
• Driving to meet customers and to visit job sites
• Overtime hours may be required to meet operational demands.
