Deveraux Apartment Communities has been a comprehensive, professional property management firm since 2011. It presently manages over 5100 multi-family apartment units in Regina, Moose Jaw, Winnipeg, Edmonton, and NOW Calgary. We are seeking an experienced Painter to join our team in Winnipeg.

What you bring...
-
Minimum 5 years experience, Red seal certification would be an asset but not necessary

The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-
Experience with various painting techniques, including cutting, rolling, brushing, and spraying, is essential. This includes knowing how to create smooth, even coats and blend colors seamlessly.

Proficient in drywall mudding and taping to create smooth and seamless wall surfaces.

Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply them

Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques

Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.)

Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders etc.

Conscientious with great attention to detail
You will...

Work extended hours during month end as necessary

Read blueprints/instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary

Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc.

Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc.

Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster)

Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools

Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions
