Job Information
The Out of School Care Program Provider supports the implementation of programming and supervision for all Commission scolaire francophone des Territoires du Nord-Ouest's out of school care for students ages 4 to 12 to ensure that all children are provided with safe and stimulating out of school care.
Completion of Grade 10 and at least 6 months of experience working in programs for children or through babysitting.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Typically, the above qualifications would be attained by:
- Knowledge of and/or the ability to acquire and apply knowledge fundamentals of child development.
- Ability to acquire and apply knowledge of current Early Childhood program practices.
- Ability to acquire and apply knowledge of the Early Childhood Act and Regulations.
- Ability to provide general care of children.
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to ensure professional and courteous service.
- Problem-solving / decision-making / conflict management and resolution skills.
- Ability to act as a role model for children.
Completion of Grade 10 and at least 6 months of experience working in programs for children or through babysitting.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- First Aid Certificate will be required within 6 months of hire.
- Up to date vaccinations required.
