Our dynamic Group of companies is seeking an Operations Manager in the Kamloops area. This individual would be responsible for the strategic direction and leadership of our Kamloops Operations. This role is to effectively and efficiently manage and promote a strong safety culture and high-quality customer satisfaction, while building relationships and ensuring the integration of strategic plans with company operations. The successful candidate will be an outgoing individual, with a minimum of 4 years Operational experience. Key Job Requirements:
Maintain and promote the corporate Health & Safety policies and procedures. Ensure that all reporting employees adhere to company policies and procedures.
Establish the overall vision and direction for the implementation of the fleet operations.
Develop, implement and improve processes and procedures to advance the operations performance.
Analyze and report on the daily, monthly and annual department’s key performance indicators and industry trends. Develop and implement strategies for improving the financial performance of the branch.
Provide leadership to all members of the Okanagan staff. Meet regularly with operating staff and drivers to provide leadership and facilitate resolution of any issues or problem.
Monitor departmental performance against goals to ensure that progress is being made, and that corrective action is taken if necessary
Examine reports (missed calls, efficiency reports) to determine the operational activities of the company and ensure optimum performance
Schedule drivers and staff vacation while ensuring maximum customer service satisfaction and operations efficiency
Ensure all routes are operated in the most cost-efficient manner
Responsible for recruitment, hiring and performance management.
Handle customer enquiries and complaints which are escalated from departments; analyze
The customer’s concern and present options to solve their issue
Assist in the investigation and review of all workplace accidents and injuries, ensuring all
Applicable reports are completed and accurate. Site and field visit as required
Preform other duties as required
Required Skills:
4 years of experience in Operations and Management
Post-Secondary education or training is an asset
Minimum Class 3, preferred Class 1 driver’s license and experience with operating commercial vehicles
Knowledge and experience with commercial vehicles and mobile equipment
