The Opportunity The Operations Manager will be responsible for providing overall management, administration and technical direction for the Manufacturing Team. The role will ensure all safety standards are followed, coordinate scheduling of crews and equipment as well as maintenance repairs. The Team This role will have a team of 7+ direct supervisors and approximately 300+ indirect employees from multiple divisions reporting into it. Responsibilities
Ensure all Safety standards are achieved by all employees.
Co-ordination/scheduling of crews and equipment in order to optimize resources in the manufacturing and operation of the company
Assist in planning
Troubleshoot and mitigate unforeseen problems during manufacturing and process to minimize financial/scheduling impact.
Create an atmosphere of teamwork by communicating and coordinating inter-divisionally.
Assist in developments of budgets, targets, strategies and objectives and work towards the same.
Assist in the co-ordination of maintenance service, marketing, logistics and operations.
Seek out and implement best practices.
Manage manufacturing schedule as well as other department/divisions
Qualifications
High school education required, bachelor's degree preferred
Demonstrated experience in production, manufacturing, purchasing, costing, budgeting and supervision.
5-7 years of management experience in plant management or manufacturing or agriculture industry
Innovative, ability to identify and implement new processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the team and project.
Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated.
Enthusiasm for challenge and new initiatives are prerequisites.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Developed decision making skills
Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards etc.
Proficient in working with computers and various software applications.
