What you will do:
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week

What you will do:
- greet and assist patients in person and on the phone with friendliness and compassion
- lead by example with customer service to staff, supporting staff with patient issues
- ensuring the organization and filing of all patient paperwork, faxes and scans
- usher patients, assist physicians in the rooms and complete patient related tasks at the request of the physicians, adapting well to change and functionality of the clinic and the physician
- maintain the staff room, patient rooms, waiting rooms, and all other areas of the office, ensuring they are clean, stocked and organized
- perform EKGs, taking patients height and weight, eye exams, preparing patients for exams, helping physicians with exams and procedures, keeping up to the physician’s pace
- process private pay transactions, handle correspondence, arrange and schedule outgoing referrals, manage incoming referrals.
- train and perform supervisor functions such as private pay, payroll, training staff and scheduling, ordering supplies and chronic disease management
- previous customer service experience required
- previous medical clinic experience an asset
- MOA certificate preferred
- knowledge in accuro or other EMR systems is beneficial
- medical office assistant program or equivalent education
- the ability to respect confidentiality including paper, electronic and other mediums
- strong organization and multitasking skills
- leadership experience and enjoys training staff - ideally in a medical clinic environment
