Job Information
If you are interested in climate change and community planning, this is an exciting opportunity for you. You would be managing a 4-year special project focused on the coastal arctic communities. As such, you would be liaising with community governments to support them in incorporating climate change and adaptation in the development of land use plans, community plans, and area development plans. You would be working along side a dynamic group of individuals from all over the Northwest Territories, while working above the 62nd parallel in Inuvik. To be successful in this role, you would have a degree in community planning or a related discipline and at least 4 years of professional community planning experience. You must also be eligible for membership in the Canadian Institute of Planners. The GNWT offers a generous benefits package.
