The Role
Cameco has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic individual to join the corporate finance team. Working within a diverse team of professionals, you will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders as you oversee the timely processing of payable transactions and overall quality of service delivery in compliance with corporate policies.
In this role, you will:
Supervise and develop the accounts payable and accounts receivable team while being responsible for the team’s performance
Lead and support on-going continuous improvement initiatives and projects as required
Provide training and coaching to the team
Comply with established internal controls and adherence to regulatory compliance
Collaborate with stakeholders to establish, maintain, monitor and analyze key performance metrics to meet strategic changes in business objectives
Be the escalation point to resolve and correct any issues or concerns raised by either internal customers or external vendors
Required:
Business Administration Certification (BAC)
Accredited Payables Manager (APM)
A minimum of eight years’ experience in the areas of accounts payables and receivables including two years in a leadership role with direct supervisory responsibilities
Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
Financial reporting experience in accounts payable with significant procure-to-pay and order-to-cash knowledge
Strong leadership, communication & organizational skills
Experience with regulatory compliance requirements of various jurisdictions
Recommended:
Bachelor’s degree in commerce, accounting, finance
Experience using SAP S/4HANA
Result oriented, proactive, with a mindset of continuous improvement
